This Telememecanique XUK9ARCNL2 polarized retroreflective photoelectric sensor detects an object without contact in applications such as packaging, conveying, and assembling. Its compact 50 x 50 mm body has an AC/DC input, 5-wire relay AC/DC output wiring, one programmable normally open and one normally closed contact, and a 2-m electrical cable connection. The polarized retroreflective, or polarized reflex, detection system emits a visible laser through a polarized filter to detect, with precision within a medium distance, the presence of an object of a specific color. The polarized filter assists in detection of reflective items or in bright environments where glare might be a concern. The sensor contains both the transmitter and receiver and requires the use of a reflector (sold separately).
